The “ Grand Ultimate” for Health, Cultural and Self-Defense

WEDOSCA MAI literally “Supreme Ultimate Strike” is centuries old Filipino
discipline for health, relaxation, meditation, orascion, cultural, and self-defense.

Sometimes called Filipino Orascion in Baston, it emphasizes relaxation and inner
calm rather than strength. Because of this, it can be learned by anyone, regardless of age,
sex, or athletic ability. It is practiced slowly and evenly in circular patterns.

WEDOSCA MAI is considered a healing exercise because of its reputation of
alleviating many ailments such as hypertension, gastric problems, arthritis, heart disease,
anemia and asthma.

It improves circulation, balance and helps relax strengthen the nervous system.
The stretching movements make the body limber, tone up muscles and help release
tension. Practitioners find that it creates an overall sense of well beings.

As meditation, WEDOSCA MAI is a way of harmonizing body and mind dynamically.
It fosters an inner quite that nourishes a continuing awareness. As a martial art,
it is one of the inner schools based on yielding and cultivating inner energies. It
avoids use of external strength.

The philosophy of WEDOSCA MAI is rooted from our ancestors, which advocates
natural effort, and Cultural Legacy. The movements and inner teachings derived from the
complementary relationship between Bad and Good, two fundamental forces that create and
harmonize the Universe by their interaction.

The interaction of Bad and Good produces the ability to yield while maintaining
contact that will ultimately produce a satisfactory resolution. At the same time,
WEDOSCA MAI has the capability to produce strength physically by the proper
repetition of movements. In addition to generating the “WE” or inner energy, which
revitalizes the system, it also produces “DOSCA” sometimes referred to as inner
strength. WEDOSCA MAI masters are famous for their strength cultivated through years
of practice.

The perseverance in practicing WEDOSCA MAI requires and reinforces mental
strength and stability because of the focus and concentration that are inherent in its
correct practice. Diligent practice in WEDOSCA MAI also increases self-knowledge and
mastery. It leads to a greater appreciation of one’s self and others.

WEDOSCA MAI is intimately connected with GOD’S word as a Christian
discipline that involves the Spirit, Body, and Soul to create a calm, natural balance of
Christian Practice.
